MY FAVORITE PHOTOS OF ERIC AND I
This is Eric and I getted married on July 31, 1994. We had a Celtic Handfasting Wedding. Everyone was supposed to wear Rennaisance/Medieval Clothes but Eric insisted on a tux, and many of the guys didn't want to dress up, so it ended up being a very eclectic wedding fashion-wise.  Although it would have been nice to all "match" in the end I just wanted everyone to feel comfortable. This is the part in a handfasting where we said our vows with our wrists bound with a red silk cord (red standing for love, luck and fertility in marriage). Once again I apologize for the quality of the scanned image.  Guess it is time for a new scanner.  This picture is actually GORGEOUS in reality, and one of the best pictures we have of the ceremony with both of us in it.
This is Eric and I dancing at our reception party. I changed my dress for the dancing portion, but still remained in Rennaissance garb. The beautiful flower wreath was handmade for me by my best friend in college, Linda. She's the lady in the background of the previous picture.  It was one of the best wedding shower presents I received ! Anyway, this picture was taken during the "Bride and Groom's First Dance" section of the evening. Eric and I had chosen the song "Unforgettable" sung by Nat King Cole to be "our" song. Then, because we both liked 80's rock as well, the song segued into Billy Idol's "White Wedding". Needless to say, we got a laugh at that combo! This picture was obviously taken during the "Unforgettable" portion of our solo dance (you can tell we were singing the chorus to each other as we were dancing in this pic too), as the pictures of us during the Billy Idol song show us total cutting a rug and don't get good shots of our faces.
This is the two of us on our honeymoon in our Loveshack! No, OK, it isn't really where we were staying. Our two week honeymoon consisted of one week at Walt Disney World and parks surrounding that area and one week in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This photo was taken the day we went to Universal Studios and were running around like nut cases in a life-size Flintstone's set. My best friend, Brenda, who was also my maid of honor, visited with us for a few days of our honeymoon before she returned to Japan to continue teaching English. She's the one that took this picture. Unfortunately, due to both my scanner and the wierd "set" lighting at the scene the colors look really bizarre here. Still, I love this picture of Eric and I and so I put it on this site.
